From Rattles

A Parent's Guide to Hand Skills
By Barbara Smith O.T.R.
From
Rattles
to Writing is
all about babies, toddlers and pre-school aged children as they develop
the visual-motor and perceptual skills that lead to scribbling,
copying shapes, letter
recognition and forming letters.
Parents, teachers and other interested individuals will
learn about normal child development as the young child uses sensory,
visual-motor and language activities to learn these skills. Just
right learning activities at every age and stage prepares children to
read
and write.
Since children learn through
play, toys and games are their tools and sometimes our tools are their
toys (think of pots and pans!). Click below to explore how to choose
fun
activities for your child.
